Getting started
Early access
What the waiting room is, how your place in the queue works, and how to move up it.
We sometimes open SiliCode to new accounts in batches rather than all at once. When that is happening, signing up puts you in a queue and lands you in a waiting room instead of the generator. Your account is real, your place is kept, and nothing else about sign-up changes.
What happens after you sign up
- 1
Create your account as normal
Same form, same fields. See Create your account.
- 2
Verify your email
This comes first, and it matters more than usual here: an unverified address does not hold a place in the queue, because the invitation has nowhere to go. See Verify your email.
- 3
Wait in the waiting room
You are signed in, so the waiting room is a real page rather than a locked door. It shows your position, your invite link and a way to reach support.
- 4
Get let in
When your turn comes we send an email, and the waiting room moves you into the app on its own if you happen to have it open. Nothing needs to be clicked twice.
Your place in the queue
The number on the waiting room is your position among verified accounts still waiting. It only moves down, and it does not change when someone ahead of you is let in until that batch has actually gone through.
Tip
Inviting people is the one thing that moves you up. Your invite link is on the waiting room itself, and the referral rewards work exactly as they normally do; see Referrals.
What you can do while you wait
| Available now | Waits for access |
|---|---|
| Signing in, and seeing your position | Starting a run of any kind |
| Your settings and run defaults | Buying a plan or credit |
| Inviting colleagues with your link | Uploading a project |
| Filing and following a support ticket | The generation screen |
Buying is held back deliberately. Selling a plan to an account that cannot run anything only produces a refund request, so the billing page stays out of the way until you are in.
What the waiting room can say
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirm your email address | The account exists but was never verified. Enter the code and your place starts counting. |
| You are on the list | Everything is done on your side. The number is your position; the email will arrive. |
| This account does not have access | The account has been closed rather than queued. If you think that is wrong, reach support from the same page; a person will look at it. |
After we open up
When the queue is switched off, everyone waiting is let in at once and new sign-ups go straight through. You do not need to do anything, and you do not need to sign up again.
If your invitation never arrived
Sign in; if you are through, the waiting room takes you into the app by itself. If it still shows a position, check the spam folder, then open a ticket. Support works for a waiting account, which is exactly why it is reachable from that page.
